Pilz PILZ-772002 is a configurable safety base unit designed for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with forced convection off. This expandable safety controller features a net height of 100 mm, a width of 45 mm, and a depth of 120 mm. It supports a supply voltage range of 20.4-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and has a power consumption of 35W from an external power supply for the system supply at no load, and 8W for the semiconductor output supply, reaching up to 192W. The unit is equipped with plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminal connections, accommodating a wire cross-section of 0.25 to 2.5mm2 for screw connections and 0.2 to 2.5mm2 for spring connections. It offers 12 safety inputs and 8 configurable inputs, both supporting 24Vdc, alongside 4 digital outputs for safety semiconductor outputs, 8 for configurable auxiliary outputs, and 4 for test pulse outputs, all designed with short-circuit proof and potential isolation. The device's response time varies from 0.5s to 3s depending on the function, with a rated impulse voltage of 2.5 kV and a rated insulation voltage of 30 V. The PILZ-772002's design includes a PC housing, ensuring compatibility with a maximum cable length of 1000m per input and a total of 2000m for the test pulse output, and it is protected to IP20 standards.
