Pilz PILZ-540132 is a communications unit designed for automation systems, featuring a communication module PROFINET with device types for peripheral PROFINET. It supports a maximum data length of 512 Byte for input, output, and combined input/output via the PROFINET interface, and offers galvanic isolation with functional insulation. For MODBUS, it can handle up to 8 connections as a server, with an address range from 1 to 65535 and operates on auto-MDIX and auto-negotiation modes. The default MODBUS/TCP port is 502, and it also provides potential isolation between PROFINET and system voltage. This unit is designed for DIN rail mounting, operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C, and has dimensions of W45mm x H115mm x L95mm with an IP20 degree of protection. It requires a 24Vdc supply voltage, is housed in PC material, and accommodates a wire cross-section of 0.25 to 2.5mm2 / 24AWG to 12AWG. The power consumption is 2 W, and it features 6 digital outputs and inputs, with a response time of 20ms for supply interruption and a default keep alive time of 32000ms. The transmission rate for PROFINET is 10MBit/s or 100MBit/s, ensuring compatibility with various industrial communication protocols.
