Pilz PILZ-630723 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, capable of detecting 30mm opaque objects across an emitter and receiver pair. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C and offers a protective height of 750mm. This unit features a 4-pin M12 connector for the emitter and a 5-pin M12 connector for the receiver, falling under the Basic sub-range category. The device is encased in a painted aluminium housing with a PC cap and a PMMA front screen, colored yellow, and has dimensions of 833.2mm in height, 32.3mm in width, and 36.9mm in depth. It supports a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and has a maximum power consumption of 2W for the emitter and 3W for the receiver without load. The PILZ-630723 can operate over a sensing distance ranging from 0.2m to 19m, with an infrared LED light source at a wavelength of 950 nm. It features 40 beams with a 30mm beam gap, ensuring a resolution suitable for hand protection. The device is IP65 rated, indicating protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It also includes 2 digital outputs (PNP; 500mA) for the receiver's OSSD outputs, with a response time of 14ms. The maximum cable length is 50m, and it is designed to withstand storage temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C.
