Pilz PILZ-630728 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 30mm across an emitter and receiver pair. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and offers a protective height of 1200mm. This unit is part of the Basic sub-range and features a 4-pin M12 connector for the emitter and a 5-pin M12 connector for the receiver. The housing is made of painted aluminium with a PC cap and a PMMA front screen, colored yellow. It has a net height of 1283.2 mm, a width of 32.3 mm, and a depth of 36.9 mm. The safety light curtain operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and has a maximum power consumption of 2W for the emitter and 3W for the receiver without load. It supports a sensing distance from 0.2m to 19m with an infrared LED light source at a wavelength of 950 nm. The device includes 64 beams with a 30mm beam gap, offering a resolution suitable for hand protection. It features two digital outputs (PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs, a response time of 18ms, and is designed with a degree of protection rated IP65. The maximum cable length is 50m, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C.
