Pilz PILZ-631000 is a safety light curtain designed for industrial applications requiring finger protection and object detection. It features a variety of functions including test, manual/automatic restart, EDM reset, muting, blanking, GUI coding, PNP/NPN connection, and cascading capabilities. This model operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a net height of 456.3 mm. It is designed with muting, blanking, and cascading options and has no dead zone for finger protection, capable of detecting 14mm opaque objects as an emitter + receiver pair. The rated current ranges from 20mA to 300mA for external lamps. Connection types include a 5-pin M12 connector for the emitter, a 12-pin M12 connector for the receiver in the blanking model, and both 12-pin and 5-pin M12 connectors for the receiver in the muting model. As part of the Advanced sub-range, it offers a protective height of 450mm and an IP65 degree of protection. The supply voltage requirement is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. The housing is made of vanished Aluminium, with a PBT terminal cap, PMMA front screen, and a PC cover, in a yellow color. The maximum cable length is 50m, with a net width of 35 mm and a sensing distance operating range of 0.2m to 7m. It utilizes infrared LED light, with a power consumption of max 3 W for the emitter and max 5 W for the receiver without load. The device features 48 beams with a 14mm beam gap, a net depth of 40.8 mm, and operates at a wavelength of 950 nm. It is designed for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C and includes 2 x digital outputs (NPN or PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs, with a response time of 17ms / 0.017 s and a resolution of 14mm for finger protection.
