Pilz PILZ-631001 is a safety light curtain designed for industrial applications requiring precise finger protection and operational safety measures. This advanced sub-range product features a variety of functions including test, manual/automatic restart, EDM reset, muting, blanking, GUI coding, PNP/NPN connection, and cascading capabilities. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a net height of 606.3 mm. The design incorporates muting, blanking, and cascading options with no dead zone for finger protection, capable of detecting 14mm opaque objects through an emitter and receiver pair. It has a rated current of 20mA-300mA for external lamps and offers connection types through 5-pin M12 and 12-pin M12 connectors. The device is housed in vanished aluminium with a PBT terminal cap, PMMA front screen, and a PC cover, presented in a yellow color. It supports a maximum cable length of 50m, with a net width of 35 mm and a net depth of 40.8 mm. The sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 7m, utilizing infrared LED light with a wavelength of 950 nm and a power consumption of up to 3W for the emitter and 5W for the receiver without load. It features 64 beams with a 14mm beam gap, ensuring a resolution suitable for finger protection. The device is IP65 rated, indicating a high degree of protection against dust and water, operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal), and has a response time of 19ms. Additionally, it includes 2 digital outputs (NPN or PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and is designed to withstand storage temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C.
