Pilz PILZ-631040 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection with a resolution of 30mm, capable of detecting opaque objects. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and offers a protective height of 450mm. This model features a variety of functions including test, manual/automatic restart, EDM reset, and muting. It is equipped with a 5-pin M12 connector for the emitter and both 12-pin and 5-pin M12 connectors for the receiver in the muting model. The PILZ-631040 operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and has a rated current of 20mA-300mA for external lamps. The design includes options for muting, blanking, and cascading with no dead zone for hand protection. The housing is made of vanished aluminium with a PBT terminal cap, PMMA front screen, and a PC cover, colored yellow. It supports a maximum cable length of 50m, has a net width of 35mm, and a net depth of 40.8mm. The sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 20m, with a light color of infrared LED (IR) and a wavelength of 950 nm. Power consumption is max 3 W for the emitter and max 5 W for the receiver without load. It features 24 beams with a 30mm beam gap, two digital outputs (PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs, and a response time of 14ms, with a reset time of 100ms when SYNC interrupt and 2s. The degree of protection is IP65, ensuring its operation in various environmental conditions.
