Pilz PILZ-631152 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting 14mm opaque objects across an operating range of 0.2m to 6m. It features a slim design with an 840mm protective height and a net width of 15.4mm, making it suitable for applications where space is limited. This model comes with an emitter and receiver pair, each connecting via a 5-pin M12 connector, and does not support cascading options, ensuring no dead zones in its coverage. The device operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0°C to +55°C and has a storage temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It is constructed with an aluminium housing, die-cast zinc alloy end caps, and a PMMA front screen, ensuring durability and a degree of protection rated at IP65. The PILZ-631152 requires a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has a maximum cable length of 20m. Its power consumption is max. 1.6W for the emitter and max. 4.2W for the receiver. The unit features 84 beams with a 14mm beam gap, operates with infrared LED light at a wavelength of 850 nm, and offers two digital outputs (500mA) from the receiver (OSSD outputs). Its response time is 14ms for cascading and 20ms, with a resolution specifically designed for finger protection.
