Pilz PILZ-631159 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 14mm. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and offers a protective height of 1080mm. This model features a slim design without a dead zone, thanks to its cascading option, and includes an emitter and receiver pair. It connects via 5-pin M12 connectors for both the emitter and receiver. Classified under the Slim sub-range, it has dimensions of 1080mm in height, 15.4mm in width, and 32.6mm in depth, with a maximum cable length of 20m. The PILZ-631159 is encased in an aluminium housing with die-cast zinc alloy end caps and a PMMA front screen, ensuring an IP65 degree of protection. It requires a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has a sensing distance ranging from 0.2m to 6m. The light curtain uses infrared LED (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and has a power consumption of maximum 1.6W for the emitter and 4.2W for the receiver. It features 108 beams with a 14mm beam gap, offers two digital outputs (500mA) from the receiver (OSSD outputs), and has a response time of 16ms (0.016s) for cascading and 20ms (0.02s) otherwise.
