Pilz PILZ-632040 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 14mm. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60 °C and offers a protective height of 600mm. This robust type emitter and receiver pair features a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, falling under the PSEN opII3F sub-range. The device is encased in an aluminium housing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. It is designed for a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc. The PILZ-632040 has a maximum cable length of 50m, a net width of 35mm, and a depth of 40mm. Its sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 8m, utilizing infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. Power consumption is max 1.5 W for the emitter and max 2.5 W for the receiver without load. It also features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs, with response times of 9.7ms with beam coding and 42.3ms. The device is also designed to withstand storage temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C.
