Pilz PILZ-632042 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting 14mm opaque objects across an operating range of 0.2m to 8m. This emitter and receiver pair is housed in an aluminium body with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring durability. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60 °C for operation and -25 to +70 °C for storage. The device features a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, facilitating straightforward connectivity. With a protective height of 150mm, net dimensions of 229mm in height, 35mm in width, and 40mm in depth, and a maximum cable length of 50m, this robust type design is suited for various applications. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP65, making it resistant to dust and water ingress. The PILZ-632042 operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and emits infrared LED light at a wavelength of 850 nm. Power consumption is maximized at 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. It also includes 2 digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and features a response time of 5.9ms with beam coding and 11.7ms without.
