Pilz PILZ-632064 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 30mm. This emitter and receiver pair is part of the PSEN opII4H sub-range and is housed in a robust aluminium casing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring durability. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C for operation and -25 to +70°C for storage. The device features a protective height of 900mm and overall dimensions of 904mm in height, 35mm in width, and 40mm in depth. It connects via 5-pin M12 connectors for both the emitter and receiver, supporting a maximum cable length of 50m. With an IP65 degree of protection, it is safeguarded against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. The safety light curtain operates within a sensing distance of 0.2m to 18m and uses infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. It has a supply voltage requirement of 18-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and consumes a maximum of 1.5W (emitter) and 2.5W (receiver without load). The device also includes 2 digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and features a response time of 8.4ms with beam coding and 15.2ms otherwise.
