Pilz PILZ-632320 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, detecting opaque objects as small as 30mm. This receiver part of the robust type operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C and offers a protective height of 450mm. It features a 5-pin M12 connector for both emitter and receiver, falling under the PSEN opII3H sub-range. The device is encased in an aluminium housing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. It operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and can accommodate a maximum cable length of 50m. The net dimensions are 454mm in height, 35mm in width, and 40mm in depth. It has a sensing distance ranging from 0.2m to 18m and utilizes infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. Power consumption is maximized at 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. The unit also features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and has a response time between 6.5ms and 11.7ms, depending on beam coding. The material composition and design specifics cater to a resolution requirement of 30mm for hand protection, with an ambient air temperature for storage ranging from -25 to +70°C.
