Pilz PILZ-773815 is a Safety I/O unit designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm top hat and 27mm recess width rails. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C and features a net height of 94 mm. This unit is specifically designed for use with incremental encoders, supporting sin/cos, HTL, and TTL signals. It offers various connection types, including screw terminal connections, spring-loaded terminal connections, and an 8-pin RJ45 female connector for incremental encoders, with stripping lengths of 7mm for screw connections and 9mm for spring-loaded connections. As part of the Safe I/O module sub-range, it has an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). The unit supports a frequency input range of 0-200kHz for incremental encoders and offers monitoring frequencies without and with hysteresis. Constructed with a PPO bottom housing and ABS front housing, it measures 45 mm in width and 121 mm in depth. Communication is facilitated through the RS-422 protocol, and it accommodates wire cross-sections ranging from 0.25 to 1.5mm2 / 24AWG to 16AWG for various connection types. Power consumption is minimal at 1 W from the supply via the base module. It is designed for storage in environments with ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. Protection functions include galvanic isolation and overload proofing (-30 to +30V). The rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 30 V. It features 2 digital inputs for incremental encoders (24Vdc; sin/cos; HTL; TTL; RS-422; +12 to +30Vss) and offers configurable time delays for switch-off operations, with specific delays based on frequency inputs and supply interruptions. The angle phase position for the differential signals A; /A and B; /B for incremental encoder input ranges from 60° to 120°.
