Red Lion PXU21BB0 is a digital temperature/process PID controller designed for flush mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +50°C. This model, part of the PXU PID controllers series, features a 1/16 DIN size (48mm x 48mm / 1.89" x 1.89"), ensuring a compact fit for control panels. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP65 NEMA 4X, suitable for demanding environments. The controller is powered by a 24Vdc supply voltage and supports a 10Hz analog input sampling rate. Communication is facilitated via an RS-485 protocol, enhancing its integration capabilities. It includes digital outputs, with one for solid-state relay (S.S.R.) and another for secondary control output (contact type). The analog input accepts a variety of signals including 4-20mA, 0-20mA, 0-50mVdc, 0-5Vdc, 0-10Vdc, and multiple thermocouple types (T, E, J, K, R, S, B, N, L, U, TXK) as well as RTD, with a 100ms sample period and 0.1 to 1° accuracy. Additionally, it features heater current monitoring for protection and includes one digital input for user-defined applications. The design incorporates 11mm orange and 7mm green digits for clear display readings, enhancing user interaction.
