Pilz PILZ-784180 is a safety relay designed for single or dual-channel operation with capabilities for safety gate monitoring, instantaneous E-STOP monitoring, limit switch monitoring, and light beam device monitoring type 2, including models with or without test pulse. It features a monitored manual reset, start-up testing options with AND and OR inputs, and a self-test function. This part is suitable for DIN rail mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. It has a net height of 101 mm, a rated current of 1.5A, and utilizes spring terminal connections. The PILZ-784180, part of the PNOZ e5.11p sub-range, measures 22.5mm in width and 121 mm in depth, with a degree of protection rated at IP40. It requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and is constructed with a PPO housing and an ABS front housing. The operating modes include options for single-channel operation without redundancy in the input circuit and dual-channel operation with a redundant input circuit, both capable of detecting earth faults. It offers automatic start when the input circuit is closed and monitored start upon operation and release of the start button. The relay can expand its number of contacts by connecting to contact expansion modules or external contactors/relays. It provides 2 x instantaneous safety outputs and 2 x instantaneous auxiliary outputs, both semiconductor outputs, along with 1 x test pulse output. The protection functions include 2 operating modes for detecting or not detecting shorts across contacts. Digital inputs comprise 1 x digital input, 1 x logic input, 1 x feedback input, 1 x start input, and 1 x self-monitoring input.
